Kale Chips- 3 Ingredients

Sometimes keeping it simple is best.  I have experimented with many methods & types of kale to make the perfect homemade chips and these are the winners!

These are so good, you will never buy the packaged ones again!

160g Cavolo Nero (Black Kale) on the stalk

1 Tablespoon organic extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil

1/2 Tablespoon light organic soy sauce (or tamari)

*optional: red chili flakes, nutritional yeast, flaked almonds

lemon juice can be used in place of soy sauce

Chop up the stalks for soup= zero waste!

Wash kale thoroughly.  Tear the leaves from the stalk and place in a bowl.  Toss (with hands) in olive oil & soy until evenly coated. Spread the kale out on a cookie sheet or baking tray- trying to not overlap- and bake at 180 degrees 10 minutes. Shake the tray to shift the kale around & remove any crispy ones & place back into the bowl.  Leave the rest until all leaves are crispy/crunchy to the touch.  Serve up as a side, crumbled over a salad or as a healthy snack on its own!
